Citizen-centred service design

Citizens’ expect consumer-like experiences of public service and providers expect more from citizens as co-producers of outcomes. As co-producers, citizens and frontline teams must be involved in the design of services, to ensure they are fit for purpose; to accomplish this, insight from people’s everyday lives must be rapidly shared with those defining policy.

There’s no stopping the digital transformation of public services now

Governments have been publishing information on webpages for a couple of decades now. Paper forms and processes have been translated into digital user experiences, with huge convenience and cost benefits. Today, technology is enabling citizen’s as co-producers in health, social care and education and allowing people to be net contributors to the public good.
